About Lisa Utterback
Lisa Utterback is a proud product of the Omaha Public Schools, graduating from Central High School. Lisa grew up in extreme poverty and faced great adversity. She found refuge and hope within the walls of the schools she attended. Her pathway to becoming a teacher was supported by a softball scholarship to college. Over the past 25 years, Lisa has served the communities of Omaha Public Schools as a teacher, school administrator, and district leader. She was recognized for her work with the 2023 Kids First Award. She knows firsthand the importance of fostering hope and building resiliency with students, families and staff.
