Project Harmony provides trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health services both on-site and in the community for children and families seen at Project Harmony. We recognize that crisis counseling is a critical first step in restoring a sense of safety and beginning the healing process after trauma.
Beyond crisis support, we offer a range of evidence-based treatments proven to reduce the impact of trauma and lower the risk of future abuse. Without timely and effective intervention, children exposed to trauma are at greater risk for long-term social, emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges.
Our mental health services are available to children and families involved in an initial assessment or investigation of child maltreatment by law enforcement or protective services. Support continues as long as needed, regardless of whether a case moves into the child welfare system. Services are available to the child, protective caregivers and affected siblings. Treatment is provided on-site or through referrals to qualified community providers.
