Description:
The purpose of this training is to expand on the processes you have been trained on in your individual agencies so you can better understand how those processes fit into the bigger picture of collaboration in child abuse investigations. We invite professionals who contribute to the investigative process to participate in this two-part training to see how the parties’ responsibilities weave together and also ask clarifying questions to the panel of experts.
This training consists of an online asynchronous lesson and a scheduled panel discussion via Zoom. Participate in both components to earn credit.
Participants will:
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of each agency in protecting children
- Recognize the unique process and timelines of child abuse investigations
- Describe how each agency’s work is integrated and impacts the investigation and other agencies
- Apply knowledge of collaborative protocols to improve outcomes
