At Project Harmony, we believe that all children are someone.
Project Harmony founded Project Be Someone to invite all of us to participate in the protection of our children and bring communities together through education and awareness. This valuable online resource provides guidance on recognizing the signs of abuse, seeking help, and stepping up to take the pledge to Be Someone in the life of a child.
You can be someone who cares.
We are all called to Be Someone in the lives of children. But together, we can help inspire healing, resilience and hope. This initiative is dedicated to providing tools and ways for everyone to learn about signs of abuse and how to respond to it. The cycle of abuse does not have to continue. There is hope.
You can be someone who is informed.
At Project Harmony, we believe that all children are someone. And, all adults can Be Someone to a child. In order to Be Someone, adults need to know the signs of child abuse and neglect, and they need to know where and how to seek help. Communities are coming together, pooling their resources and making a difference. Slowly but surely, we’re flipping the script — the statistics are improving.
Be Someone today…it only takes 10 seconds.
You can Be Someone right now by taking the pledge and joining us in our efforts to end child abuse and neglect while promoting safety and positivity. While this is only the first step, it signals a renewed dedication to preventing child abuse, protecting children, and helping them find the courage to use their voice, so they can begin to heal.
There are other ways to Be Someone after the pledge:
- Volunteer your time to Project Harmony, donate items from our wish list or a contribution in support of our work
- Follow us on social media to spread awareness by sharing our posts.
- Further understand the signs of abuse and neglect — and how you can help —by participating in our free trainings
Together, we can end child abuse. END IT. But to do this — to really do this — we all have to have a stake in it. You are part of the solution.
What’s new?
The expanded online website resource provides guidance on recognizing the signs of abuse, how youth and adults can seek help, and how to Be Someone in the life of a child. As this initiative expands across the country, child advocacy centers can now provide additional information about their services. To increase privacy, the website now includes a quick escape button for individuals who may be seeking help and concerned someone may be looking over their shoulder.
