Gov. Pete Ricketts announced Wednesday, September 9, 2020, that every county, with the exception of Lancaster County, will be in Phase 4 starting Sept. 14.
“What it basically means is that outdoor venues will be able to go to 100% capacity. Indoor venues will be at 75% capacity. If you’re going to have a large event, and when I say large event, 500 people or more you’re still going to have to check through the local public health director, put together a plan, get that plan approved,” said Ricketts during a press conference.
Project Harmony has remained committed to service delivery to children and families throughout this pandemic. We are also committed to ensuring staff safety, client safety, and guest/customer safety.
A revised Return to Work plan for Project Harmony was sent out on Thursday, September 17. At this time Project Harmony is moving into Phase III as outlined below. The Project Harmony Executive Team is asking that all staff begin working in the office starting Monday, October 5. The Return to Work plan applies to all Project Harmony employees. All agency partners are currently working on their own Return to Work plan.
Project Harmony continues to monitor and work with the CDC and Department of Health for the latest developments. As new information becomes available, Project Harmony will ensure all staff and agency partners have the most up-to-date information.
Below is an outline of Project Harmony’s response plan to ensure the safety and health of our employees and partners while continuing to serve families through the COVID-19 crisis.
PHASE 2: Up to 100% working in the office up to 100% of the time
WHEN IS THIS PHASE INDICATED?
We will move into this phase when the Governor and/or Douglas County Health Department indicate the Directed Health Measure is in Phase IV and/or reliable antibody testing (or another medical intervention not yet known), and/or vaccine are available.
WHAT WILL OUR PLAN BE TO RETURN TO THE OFFICE?
Project Harmony will continue with recommended public health practices by the Douglas County Health Department and other medical experts. All employees may return to work and all programs and services may resume as they were before COVID-19. It is possible some programs and services may continue to be offered using technology, e.g., 1184 team meetings, trainings, etc. It will be up to Managers/Directors and program teams to determine the best methods for carrying out service delivery.
In addition, the following will occur:
- Onsite meetings and trainings may occur, as long as physical distancing is practiced in the Training Rooms, theater space, and the Training/Coordination area, including the kitchen and restrooms.
- All employees should make every effort to remain in their designated work area as much as possible.
- Avoid passing through Children’s Services where additional safety measures are in place to protect clients, staff, and partners.
- Common areas, e.g., restrooms, kitchen, workrooms, must be cleaned by each person using those areas.
- Project Harmony is still accepting donations. Donations can be shipped directly to us or dropped off by appointment only. Email Lauren Peterson to schedule a drop off time.
- To reach law enforcement here at Project Harmony, please call 402-444-5636, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
