An immersive case-based training experience designed to increase child welfare professionals’ communication and collaboration.
Dan is seeing a therapist. Bridget is working with a case worker. Lacey is always dropping in to see the school counselor. Jeremy is on probation. In this presentation, you will meet each of these individuals who all live in one home and comprise a family. Through this immersive training experience, we will explore what we bring to the table when working with families, the difficulties of collaboration, and try to remember why we all chose to do the hardest jobs in the world: protecting children and serving families. Target Audience:
This training is designed for professionals working with families involved in the child welfare system.
Participants will:
- Understand the importance of seeing individuals in the context of being one member of an entire family
- Learn the value of communication and collaboration with other professionals
- Obtain a new appreciation for the complexity of families and cases in the child welfare system
